Accepted Abstracts

For abstract submission please see here.

Please note that accepted abstracts will be published in a special edition of the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. We will consider abstracts presented elsewhere if they have not been formally published e.g. those presented at the British Intrapartum Care Society (BICS). Please contact us with any queries related to this.

All accepted presenters will receive a certificate to confirm their presentation after the event.

Poster Guidelines

All posters should be A1 size and portrait landscape. We would encourage poster presenters to follow the Better Poster format as explained here and here.

The central point of this format is to have a large, simple language summary of the main findings taking up at least half of the poster. This format is optional and all poster styles will be accepted.

Digital Posters

Digital posters are only for delegates attending the conference virtually. Posters being presented online should be produced as per the Poster Guidelines section.

Oral Presentations

The highest scoring abstracts in each category will be shortlisted by the BMFMS Committee and invited to present a short oral presentation at the conference.

Poster Prizes

All oral and poster presentations will be assessed in the applicable prize categories:

  • Medical Student
  • Maternal Medicine
  • Fetal Medicine
  • Pregnancy Outcome
  • Labour and Delivery
  • Late Breaking abstracts

Delegate Poster Prize: at the conference all delegates will be invited to vote for their favourite poster in each category for this prize.
