When is BMFMS Annual Conference 2026?

Is BMFMS Annual Conference 2026 a virtual, in-person or a hybrid event?
- BMFMS Annual Conference 2026 is a hybrid event.
- This means that the main keynotes will be streamed live via the event app to an online audience who will also have access to other content on the app such as the poster module, the exhibitor pages and can also connect with other attendees by sending messages. The sessions will be available to view on demand post event.
- In person tickets include access to the event app with all the content and on demand sessions post event as well as all the usual features associated with the event including career speed dating, the sponsor exhibition and a poster exhibition.
- All attendees will have access to the event app at least four weeks in advance of the event to begin networking, view posters and book breakout sessions.
What are the event timings?
- Typically, the conference opens each day at 8:00, stage sessions will start from 9:00, lunch served from 12:30 and closes at 17:00. These timings are not confirmed currently.
- The BMFMS Reception & Conference Dinner begins at 19:00 until 23:00. The venue will be announced shortly.

Venue Accessibility
- The Royal Armouries is committed to providing access to all. The staff are trained to provide assistance to visitors with limited mobility as well as other disabilities or needs.
- Driving: Blue badge holders are permitted to park on Armouries Drive free of charge. Parking in this location is subject to availability to please email bmfms@outsourcedevents.com. Disabled passengers arriving by taxi or alternative vehicles may disembark on museum square.
- The Royal Armouries front doors are wide enough for easy wheelchair access.
- In addition to this, a DDA compliant registration point is also available to wheelchair delegates.
- All of the meeting and conference rooms have step-free access via corridors wide enough to easily manoeuvre a wheelchair.
- There are four passenger lifts, all of which can accommodate a wheelchair. One of these is a fireman’s lift that can be used in the event of an evacuation

How can I get to the venue?
- The Royal Armouries is in the heart of Leeds city and is accessible on foot, by public transport or car, making your journey here quick and seamless.
By Plane
- Leeds Bradford Airport is a 35-minute drive from the venue.
- Royal Armouries is a short transfer time for delegates arriving via regional or international routes. These could include the following:
Belfast – 1 hour 10 flight time

By Train
- Royal Armouries is a 19-minute walk from Leeds train station or a 12-minute drive.
- It is an easy train ride away from many major cities in the UK including:
London – 2-hour 15 minutes train ride

Edinburgh – 3-hour 5 minutes train ride
By Bus
- Royal Armouries is a 14 minute walk from Leeds City bus station.
By Car
We highly encourage attendees to be environmentally friendly and make the most of Leeds accessibility by public transport. However, if you do need to travel by car, Royal Armouries is around a 4-hour drive from London, 2 hours 20 minutes from Birmingham and 4 hours 15 minutes from Edinburgh.
Parking
We highly encourage attendees to be environmentally friendly and make the most of Leeds accessibility by public transport.
However, if you do need parking facilities, there are several car parks within walking distance of the Venue with an onsite car park hosting 1250 parking spaces. Van and Car parking is available in conjunction with Leeds City Council, which is a 7-minute walk from the venue.

Will refreshments and lunch be provided?
- Yes. . Refreshments and a light lunch will be offered. Please indicate upon registration if you have any dietary or allergy requirements. We aim to cater for a variety of dietary requirements inc. vegetarian, vegan, halal and dairy-free.

Is BMFMS Annual Conference 2026 free to attend?
- There is an attendance fee to attend the BMFMS Annual Conference 2026 and you must pre-register to attend. Come and join us!
- Early bird pricing will be offered. A pricing schedule will be released shortly.
Who is the conference designed for?
- BMFMS Annual Conference 2026 will be of interest to all those involved in pregnancy care and will include sessions on maternal and fetal medicine, pregnancy outcome and labour and delivery. The conference programme will also include tailored sessions led by trainees and midwives.
How can I register for BMFMS Annual Conference 2026?
- Please visit www.bmfmsconfernece.co.uk to register for the event.
- You will need to create an account before purchasing your ticket .
- You will notice that you can buy a ticket with the conference dinner included, or purchase tickets separately.
- You can buy online only tickets.
- If your purchase a discounted student ticket, you will be required to show proof of student status.
What is included in the online ticket?
- You will be sent an email giving you access to the event app in February 2026.
- It is a webapp so there is no need to download the app and you can watch the conference on your desktop or a smart device.
- You have full access to all the online content such as attendees, sponsor pages, poster pages, attendees and the agenda.
- Only plenary sessions will be live streamed, and these can be viewed by clicking on the appropriate agenda session at the allotted time.
- You can ask questions via the chat box next to the live stream video and the chair will do their best to ask questions from the floor and from online viewers.
- You can connect with attendees and send them messages.
- You will not have access to the career speed dating or the exhibition prize draw.
Do I need to register for particular sessions as part of the registration process?
- You will need to book the simulation sessions in advance as places are limited. You will be able to do this via the event app to which you will be given access at least four weeks in advance of the event.
Can I register onsite?
- To give you access to the event app to allow you to book break out sessions, view posters and network with your peers, you need to register in advance of the event.
What is the dress code?
- The dress code for BMFMS Annual Conference 2026 is Business Casual.
